Therapy rooms, Oxfordshire

Sam was asked to design a set of adjoining therapy rooms that were once a whole space (then split via stud wall) in an ex warehouse building in the heart of Oxfordshire.

The brief was to create two separate, yet visually aligned, spaces that would feel both welcoming, and put clients at ease, the moment they entered the rooms.

Used by a variety of practitioners - from psychologists to cognitive behavioural therapists - with their clients ranging in age from children to adults, this design was carried out virtually and Sam only saw the end results in situ once she went there to photograph the rooms.

Using gentle yet impactful colour, combined with soft pattern running throughout, this project was an absolute joy for Sam to design as she wholeheartedly believes in the power of both colour, and pattern, to create spaces that can truly have an emotional impact on those who spend time in them.
